Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has officially signed a new contract with the club that will keep him with the Nerazzurri until 2026.

As has been announced by Inter’s website, the Argentine striker put pen to paper on his new contract that has been expected for many weeks.

The new deal has done away with the €111 million release clause that was in his previous deal, meaning there is no set limit to what Inter could receive for him if he is ever sold by the club.

It is hoped that the deal will bring some stability to the player who was heavily linked with a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid during the summer.

The new wage has not been disclosed in the announcement but it is thought to be much more representative of his importance to the team, especially now that Romelu Lukaku has left the club for the Premier League.
