Ajax could still decide that they want to keep Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana as his doping ban is coming to an end in November, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, Andre Onana’s ban from footballing activity for a doping violation that has kept him out of action for months will expire on November 4th.

Ajax had previously shown no interest in using the player when he return from the ban as they have been forced to move on, but one of their goalkeepers, Maarten Stekelenburg, has been forced to undergo surgery and will be out for the rest of the year.

This could make Ajax have no choice but to use Andre Onana and should he perform well, they may feel the need to offer him a new contract.

This would stop him from joining Inter on a free transfer in 2022.
