Inter boss Simone Inzaghi could make a significant amount of changes to the team that beat Empoli on Wednesday as he seeks to keep his squad fresh, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, as many as eight changes could be made by Simone Inzaghi for the match at San Siro against Udinese.

The most notable change is that Stefan de Vrij may be given a rest which will allow Andrea Ranocchia to come into the defence alongside Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar.

Only Marcelo Brozovic is confirmed in the midfield. Ivan Perisic, Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu and Arturo Vidal could all come in to start the match.

As for the strikers, the pairing of Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez could be swapped for Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa from the start as Simone Inzaghi has his eyes on midweek.
