Inter’s Sporting CEO Beppe Marotta has stated the clubs aim to defend the Serie A title that was won in the 2020/21 season under Antonio Conte.
Speaking during Inter’s shareholder meeting where the official losses and figures for the last fiscal year were announced, Beppe Marotta explained how the club must strike a balance between cutting costs and remaining competitive.
“We have set ourselves the goal of combining cost reduction with maintaining sporting competitiveness. It will be difficult to repeat ourselves but we want to proudly defend the Scudetto.”
Inter are currently seven points behind Napoli and AC Milan in the Serie A standings after 10 games.
“Ci siamo posti l’obiettivo di coniugare la riduzione dei costi al mantenimento della competitività sportiva. Sarà difficile ripetersi ma vogliamo difendere con orgoglio lo Scudetto”
