Inter are set to meet with defender Stefan de Vrij’s agent Mino Raiola in November about potentially extending his contract.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Dutchman’s renewal is on standby and that the club are likely ready to agree a new deal with him until the summer of 2025.
De Vrij’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and should he not renew with the club then he would likely be subject to the transfer interest of a number of major European clubs.
However, coach Simone Inzaghi considers the Dutchman a vital player in the squad and has insisted that he not be transferred away.
The Nerazzurri are ready to extend with the 29-year-old until the end of June 2025 with his wages to be a net of €4.5 million on the new deal, and they are just waiting for the appearance of Raiola to begin talks which should come some time next month.
