Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic has communicated his intention not to stay at Inter beyond next summer to the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 32-year-old is not planning to extend his contract beyond next summer when it runs out and has told the club so.

Perisic’s current deal with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of June 2022, and he has not yet been offered a new deal, although the club could yet look to renew with him given the Croat’s continued importance to the team.

The wing-back had been expected to leave during the summer but remained, and he has been a regular first-team player this campaign so the club could look to keep him on even beyond this season.

However, it not looks as though the 32-year-old has no intention of staying beyond next summer and will leave the club on a free transfer instead.
