The father and lawyer of Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic are stalling on contract extension talks with Inter as they consider the interest of Paris Saint-Germain in the midfielder.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that negotiations are yet to begin on negotiations about extending the Croat while PSG could move for him.

Inter have been looking to extend Brozovic’s contract for some weeks, with finding an agreement on renewal a prirority as his current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022.

The Nerazzurri have been looking to secure the key midfielder’s future and a meeting has been planned with his father and a lawyer representing them to begin talks.

However, the meeting has yet to take place, and it is currently unsure whether it will be set for the days immediately following the Champions League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol over the week, or for the international break.

PSG are looming in the background, with the Parisians having already had an interest in Brozovic on loan, and they could see his situation as an opportunity to take him to the French capital on a free transfer next summer.

Talks with the player’s father and lawyers have yet to take off and the pair could continue to stall negotiations while the interest of PSG develops.
