Inter defender Stefan de Vrij could make his two hundredth appearance in a Nerazzurri shirt should he take to the pitch against Udinese later today.

This is highlighted by Italian news outlet L’Interista, who note that the Dutchman is only one appearance away from the landmark having already played for the club 199 times since his arrival from Lazio in the summer of 2018.

De Vrij has cemented himself as a regular starter under three different managers while at Inter, first Luciano Spalletti, then Antonio Conte, and now he finds himself reunited with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 29-year-old was a vital part of the team that reached a Europa League final and then won the Scudetto under Conte, and he is picking up where he left off this season under Inzaghi.

Even if de Vrij is rested for the clash with Udinese, it should only be a matter of time before he makes it two hundred appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
