Inter could look to sign Torino defender Armando Izzo should Milan Skriniar or Stefan de Vrij leave the club amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Granata defender is one of the Nerazzurri’s main targets to shore up their defense should they lose one of their first-choice central defenders.

Former Inter head coach Antonio Conte was officially announced as Tottenham coach earlier today, and the 52-year-old could look to players he worked with at the Nerazzurri in order to strengthen his new team.

Should Conte seek a reunion with Skriniar or de Vrij then the Nerazzurri would waste no time in making up for the defenders’ absence.

On-loan defenders Zinho Vanheusden and Lorenzo Pirola are among the players who could be seen as long-term options in central defense, but Izzo could be the player who the club look to in the January transfer market for an immediate injection of quality.
