Former Inter striker Christian Vieri believes that the Nerazzurri are a team who can rely on their strength from the bench to win matches.

Speaking on his Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Vieri recounted being impressed by the quality of players who he saw warming up to come on as substitutes in the Nerazzurri’s recent victory against Udinese.

Inter went into the match against Udinese on Wednesday with a rotated eleven as coach Simone Inzaghi looked to give some key players in the squad a rest during a busy period in the fixture schedule.

However, he also looked to freshen up his team with substitutes during the second half, and this is where the players who had started the match on the bench came into play.

Vieri considered this to be a major point of strength for the team, showing their ability to get the better of a team like Udinese without too much trouble.

“Inter are strong, against Udinese I knew the goal would come,” he stated. “I said it when I saw who was warming up on the bench: there were Sanchez, Lautaro, Dimarco, Vidal… Once the first goal is scored, the game is over.”
