Inter defenders Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni could be on Antonio Conte’s shopping list at Tottenham Hotspur with the Italian coach looking to reinforce the Premier League side’s defense in the transfer market.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Inter duo are among the major targets for Tottenham as they look to raid Serie A’s top starts in the upcoming transfer windows.

Conte will look to make targeted signings at Tottenham with a view to bringing in players that he trusts in key positions, and the Italian is set to focus the club’s transfer strategy on Serie A.

In particular, the coach could look to bring in players who he worked well with when he was in charge of the Nerazzurri prior to parting ways with the club at the beginning of the summer.

De Vrij is a player who the Italian coach virtually always included in the starting eleven, and could be set for a reunion in North London.

Meanwhile, Bastoni also enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence in the Nerazzurri’s first team under Conte’s watch, and is another player who the former Inter coach could turn to as he looks to shape the Tottenham team in his image after taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo.
