Newly-appointed Tottenham Hotspur has made the signing of Marcelo Brozovic from Inter a transfer priority and the Premier League club could move for the Croat soon.

This according to UK tabloid The Mirror, who report that the Spurs boss wants to build his new midfield around the player who he worked with well during two seasons together at the Nerazzurri.

Conte has been promised significant investment by the Tottenham board, and could look to Serie A, where Spurs Director of Football Fabio Paratici is also very familiar.

The Italian tactician could move for a very familiar name in the form of Brozovic, who was one of the first names on the teamsheet as he built a Nerazzurri team who reached a Europa League final before winning their first Scudetto in eleven years.

Brozovic is out of contract with Inter at the end of June 2022, and could become available on a free transfer next summer should he not agree on an extension with the club.

However, the Nerazzurri have made securing the 28-year-old’s future a priority, and it remains to be seen if he could be tempted away by a reunion with his old manager in North London.
