Ajax are not currently thinking about signing Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen despite links to the player in the media.

This according to Danish newspaper B.T., as reported by FCInterNews, who contacted Ajax Sporting Director Marc Overmars to ask about the player but got no response.

Eriksen could be on his way out at the Nerazzurri, with the Dane’s ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrulator) ruling him out of playing in Italy per the coutnry’s medical regulations.

Should the 29-year-old not be able to have the implant removed then he could move to another league in order to make his return to the pitch where he is able to.

A return to former club Ajax has been brought up as one of the likeliest possible destinations for the midfielder, with some reports that the Dutch champions could look to sign him he should he be forced to leave Inter, but Overmars would not confirm these reports.
