Edin Dzeko and Matteo Darmian have been criticised for the Inter contributions in the 3-1 victory over FC Sheriff on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As was handed out by Corriere dello Sport in their player ratings from the match, Edin Dzeko and Matteo Darmian were only worthy of a 5.5 out of 10 rating despite the positive result for the team.

Matteo Darmian was marked down for picking up a very avoidable yellow card and offering little to Inter’s attack.

As for the Bosnian striker, he was given a low score because of the two very presentable chances that he wasted in the first half.

It was overall a positive night though for Inter who saw players such as Marcelo Brozovic, Arturo Vidal, and Milan Skriniar turn in excellent performances.

The team now just need one win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the next matchday to secure their progression to the next round.
