Inter will have their work cut out if they are to sign Marcelo Brozovic to a new contract in the coming weeks, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Sky Sport 24, via FCInternews, it would take a miracle now for the Croatian to extend his stay with the Nerazzurri beyond his current deal which will expire in June 2022.

It was also reported that it was extremely hard to get Lautaro Martinez to sign his new contract, and he was more willing than Marcelo Brozovic was.

The club have had a series of meetings with the player, his father, and his lawyer over the past few months but an agreement is yet to be found and now it seems there will not be one at all.

Since ex-Inter boss Antonio Conte joined Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, the midfielder has been linked with a free transfer to the team.
