Marcelo Brozovic has set his demands at €30 million net over the next four years if he is to sign a new contract with Inter this month, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by L’Interista, the financially lucrative request from the Croatian midfielder and his entourage could spell the end of the relationship between the club and the player.

Marcelo Brozovic will be out of contract in June 2022 meaning a deal has to be struck very soon if he is to remain at the club beyond the current campaign.

His new salary demands would make him among the highest earners at the club and could damage Inter’s chances of renewing the contracts of other key players.

The player is considered crucial to the team by Simone Inzaghi but he could now be forced to envisage a future where Marcelo Brozovic cannot be relied upon in the midfield.
