AC Milan goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has suggested that Inter have a lot of players that can hurt his team on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

Speaking during an interview with Tuttosport, Ciprian Tatarusanu seemed wary of Inter’s talents whilst also expressing confidence in his own teammates.

“Inter is a strong team, it would be an understatement to indicate a single player. They have many players who can make a difference.”

Ciprian Tatarusanu was keen to point out that AC Milan is a team that has not changed too much from last season and that is why they have a clear view of their identity and how they want to play.

“We can no longer be considered a surprise. We have shown on the pitch, with the victories that we deserve the position where we are.

“It’s an important match, worth three points, but it’s still the derby that is never a match like any other. Being a team that hasn’t changed much, we know each other better and moving forward on a specific path, developing our ideas can and must be our strength with respect to Inter.”

Ciprian Tatarusanu is the number two goalkeeper at AC Milan but after Mike Maignan, who signed from Lille in the summer, suffered a wrist injury, he has become the regular choice for Stefano Pioli.

He explained that before coming to AC Milan, he has always been used to being the first choice goalkeeper rather than the back up to someone else.

“I haven’t played a lot in the last two or three years, but before I’ve always been the starter and I’ve played many games.

“I certainly have a lot of experience behind me. But I’ve never seen myself as a second goalkeeper, even if the hierarchies have said this.”
