Inter have had the perfect response to the disappointing loss to Lazio in Serie A back in October, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 3-1 defeat that was suffered by Inter at the hands of Lazio was possibly the worst point of Simone Inzaghi’s time at Inter so far.

The Nerazzurri were the favourites heading into the game against Simone Inzaghi’s old side that he spent five years at as coach, and even longer as a player.

They were beaten handily, but they have responded by winning against Udinese and Empoli whilst managing to rotate the squad effectively.

They have also rescued their Champions League campaign by beating FC Sheriff twice in two weeks to move into second in the group and one win away from progression to the last 16 of the tournament.

They are in great form heading into the Derby della Madonnina.
