Inter are getting more joy from set pieces this season than they traditionally have in recent years, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have struggled to make the most of free kicks and corners over the years, particularly under Luciano Spalletti and Antonio Conte.

The situation did improve when Christian Eriksen joined the club when Antonio Conte was in charge, but after his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 he is not available to Simone Inzaghi.

Despite that, the purchase of Hakan Calhanoglu and the integration into the squad of Federico Dimarco means that Inter are now seeing quality deliveries into the box and shots on target from free kicks.

The first goal of the Simone Inzaghi era demonstrated it perfectly. Hakan Calhanoglu swung in a perfect corner which Milan Skriniar was able to head into the back of the net.
