Former Juventus goalkeeper Dino Zoff has suggested that the upcoming Derby della Madonnina is more important to Inter as they are behind in the table, according to a report in the Italian media.

Whilst giving an interview to Il Giornale, Dino Zoff explained that because Inter are seven points behind AC Milan in the Serie A table, it is much more vital to Inter’s season for them to win the game than it is for AC Milan.

“I think it is more delicate for Inter because they are a few points behind the Rossoneri. Then the derby weighs a lot from a moral point of view so I think it’s more important for Inter to win it and not lose it.”

Dino Zoff also passed comment on the Serie A title race that he thinks is between Napoli, AC Milan, and Inter. He feels that Napoli could be undone by the fact that they will lose some players to the African Cup Of Nations tournament.

Their African players include Kalidou Koulibaly and star striker Victor Osimhen.

“I think Milan, Inter and Napoli are the favourites as far as they are showing. The Azzurri, however, I want to see them in January with the African Cup since they will lose so many players.”

Inter canmove within four points of their city rivals if they manage to win the game that kicks off at 20:45 local time.
