Inter are ready to extend the contract of defender Federico Dimarco, and are preparing an offer to get his renewal wrapped up.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the club are confident that an agreement will be found with the 23-year-old.

Dimarco’s current deal is set to run out at the end of June 2023, but there is now little question that the club want to secure his future beyond this date.

The defender has become a regular in the team since his return from a two-year loan spell with Hellas Verona over the summer, and the Nerazzurri are hopeful that he will commit his future to his boyhood club.

The Nerazzurri have already wrapped up the contract extensions of key players Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella, and it now looks as though Dimarco will be next on the agenda for the club.
