Inter could resume their pursuit of Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez in the January transfer window.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air that the Nerazzurri are preparing to move for the versatile Uruguayan once again after having missed out on his signature in the summer.

Nandez had been a major target for the Nerazzurri during the summer window, with the 25-year-old a consideration to replace the departed Achraf Hakimi on the right after he had shown his proficiency playing as a wing-back under then-coach Leonardo Semplici.

However, talks broke down with the Rossoblu when a move had appeared close, and the Nerazzurri signed Denzel Dumfries from PSV instead.

However, Inter’s interest in the midfielder has not ended, and they could go back in for him in January.

Meanwhile, Napoli are also interested in the Uruguayan’s signature, and could also move for him when the January transfer window opens.
