Inter will look to make signings in the January transfer window, and could bring in a defender and a forward to replace Alexis Sanchez should the Chilean depart.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri are aiming to strengthen the team during the transfer window as they look to defend the Scudetto.

In attack, Sanchez could still depart from the club in January, with an outburst in September having suggested that he is not entirely happy at the club while his wages are considered excessive.

Should Sanchez leave, the club will immediately look to bring in a forward to replace him and reinforce their attack as they look to have a squad that is competitive on multiple fronts.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri will look to bring in a defender in order to strengthen the options available to coach Simone Inzaghi in his preferred back-three formation once the January window opens.
