Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic is the player with the most assists in the Milan derby over the last fifteen years, having assisted five goals in the fixture since his arrival in 2015.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who highlight the 32-year-old’s prolific creative record in one of Italian football’s showpiece occasions.

Perisic joined Inter in the summer of 2015 from Wolfsburg and, apart from spending the 2019-20 season on loan at Bayern Munich, he has largely been a key fixture in the starting eleven under a number of different managers.

The Croat has become one of the most reliable sources of assists for his team, but in no fixture has he managed to help teammates find the back of the net more than against the Nerazzurri’s city rivals.

Coach Simone Inzaghi will be hoping that Perisic can once again show this kind of form in finding teammates in dangerous position ahead of today’s massive head-to-head with the Rossoneri.
