A number of Inter players can hit significant appearance milestones in this evening’s Milan derby clash with AC Milan, namely Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, and Samir Handanovic.
This is highlighted by Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who note that that the two defenders can hit significant numbers in the Italian top flight while the goalkeeper can move up the rankings for all-time appearances.
De Vrij will make his two-hundredth appearance in Serie A should he play for the Nerazzurri, with the Dutchman having made his first appearance in the competition against the same opposition, for Lazio who he joined in the summer of 2014 before moving to Inter in the summer of 2018.
Bastoni, meanwhile, can hit one hundred appearances should he take the pitch tomorrow, with the 22-year-old having established himself as a regular in the Nerazzurri first team in addition to having enjoyed loan spells at Atalanta and Parma.
Captain Handanovic will make his 527th appearance in Serie A should he start tomorrow, which would take him level with Gianni Rivera in the list of most appearances in the Italian top flight, between the Slovenian’s stints at Udinese and then Inter.
