Inter drew AC Milan 1-1 as the away team in Match Day 12 of the Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district.

When you demand and get €6 million net per season you cannot miss a penalty and another sitter in such an important game as Lautaro Martinez did today.

Samir Handanovic – 6.5: Made some decent saves but refused to attack crosses or corners all game. Could do nothing about the own goal but he was fired up for the game.

Milan Skriniar – 6.5: Just another game for Skriniar. Played with a lot of confidence and brought a sense of calm and security. Not sure what happened on the own goal.

Stefan De Vrij – 6: Somehow messed up a simple header that gave Milan something to cling on to. Overall did his job very well against a very difficult opponent tonight.

Alessandro Bastoni – 7: This is the Bastoni Interisti have admired for a long time. Amazing under pressure with or without the ball. Deserved an assist at the end of the 1st half.

Matteo Darmian – 7: Absolutely spot on with his positioning. Had a tough first 5 mins but understood his opponent and settled in. Won a penalty as well. Mr. Dependable.

Nicolo Barella – 7: Leao ran past him at the start but that only triggered Barella to step up and start dominating. Only negative was not finishing that move from Bastoni.

Marcelo Brozovic – 5.5: Brozo didn’t handle the Milan press very well. When he got time and space on the ball Inter created some good chances. Not his best game tonight.

Hakan Calhanoglu – 8: Hakan probably played his best 90 mins of football in a long time in the first half. The penalty was ice cold considering the hostile atmosphere. Superb.

Ivan Perisic – 7.5 : Another great game by Ivan who looks like he has been playing wingback in a 3-5-2 all his life. Fantastic in both defence and attack. Big game player

Edin Dzeko – 5.5: Edin struggled a bit against the Milan defence and looked like he wasn’t 100%. The linkup play was there but he couldnt get any shots away at all.

Lautaro Martinez – 5: Lautaro played very well off the ball and when Inter broke he always looked dangerous. His finishing needs to improve to go to the next level. Poor.

Arturo Vidal – 5.5: Arturo had the huge shoes of Nicolo to fill and he didn’t enter the game well at all. Inter lost all incentive and control of the midfield as Hakan tired.

Joaquin Correa – 5.5: Couldn’t get involved in the game. When Joaquin came on Inter lost control of the ball. Had a few touches but none where he could make a difference

Denzel Dumfries – 6: Decent 15 mins from Denzel tonight. Came in with the right attitude and kept his position and composure throughout. Didn’t get a chance to attack.

Alexis Sanchez – N/A: Brought on for Lautaro who had physically and mentally run himself into the ground. Won a free kick in injury time which was defended by Milan.

Federico Dimarco – N/A: Unless Bastoni had a knock this substitution did not make much sense. Inter lost that defensive edge and left gaps. Thankfully Kessie missed the goal.

Simone Inzaghi – 7: Simone’s plan worked perfectly for 80 mins. Inter were fantastic with and without the ball and should have won the game easily. Poor timing of subs.

Daniele Doveri – 7: Doveri refused to blow for soft fouls throughout the game. The major calls were all correct and he used VAR very well. Good refereeing in a big match.

Inter – 6: Inter absolutely bossed Milan off the pitch for major periods in the game. They created chance after chance but somehow only bring a point home.
