Legendary former AC Milan striker and current Brescia manager Filippo Inzaghi is impressed with the job his brother Simone has done at Inter as the Nerazzurri prepare to face his old side in the derby later today.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInter1908, the Rossoneri legend gave the view that Simone Inzaghi was given a tough task in taking over at the Nerazzurri in the summer but has done an excellent job of it.

Filippo explained that he still feels that he will root for the Rossoneri in his heart after having enjoyed a long and successful association with the club, but that he also wishes the best for his brother.

Simone took over at the Nerazzurri this summer after the departure of Antonio Conte, leaving Lazio after a decades-long association to take on a new challenge.

So far the former Biancocelesti boss has looked to have done a good job of guiding the club through the decision transition away from Conte and several key players.

“Tomorrow is a complicated game,” Filippo stated. “Milan is in my heart, cheering for them is the first thing. But I will also follow Simone with interest, who is doing very well. Hakimi has left and they have also sold Lukaku, Simone has taken on a big challenge. But he is proving his worth.”
