Former Inter coach Alberto Zaccheroni believes that Inter must take advantage of any mistakes by the league leaders if they are to find a way to win the title this season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Whilst speaking to Il Mattino, Alberto Zaccheroni explained that Inter have made more of habit of winning than the other two teams in the Scudetto fight this season but it will all hinge on if AC Milan and Napoli drop points.

“At the moment only Inter Milan has more of a  habit of winning and a deep and talented staff. But they will have to be good at exploiting any slip-ups of the other two, which at the moment seems very difficult to me.”

Alberto Zaccheroni then added that the team with the most consistency will be the one that lifts the Scudetto when the season ends in May 2022.

“For one of them it can be the right year. The team with the most consistent performance will win.”

AC Milan and Napoli currently sit top of the table on 32 points and Inter are seven behind them, on 25. That means the Nerazzurri have their work cut out if they are to defend the title that they won under Antonio Conte in the 2020/21 season.
