Inter manager Simone Inzaghi is nervous about Edin Dzeko’s involvement with the Bosnian national team during the international break, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Edin Dzeko came off during the Derby della Madonnina with a right thigh injury but it is thought it is mainly due to fatigue rather than a long terms problem.

The striker has been called up by Ivaylo Petev for the Bosnian squad for the next set of international matches and Simone Inzaghi is concerned that the games will aggravate his striker’s muscle issue.

Edin Dzeko is the most important player in the Bosnia squad and the coach will clearly want to use him in both games against Finland and Ukraine.

An injury to the man who has scored seven goals so far this season for Inter would be a huge blow for Simone Inzaghi.
