Finding an agreement for a new contract with Marcelo Brozovic is now the priority for Inter after other deals were tied up, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Sky Sport 24 in Italy, via FCInter1908, Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will be focusing almost entirely on meeting with Marcelo Brozovic and his entourage as soon as possible to try and find an agreement on a new contract.

At the moment, the player is asking for a wage that is simply too high for Inter if they want to do any other transfer business or contract renewals.

That means the Croatian can negotiate with other clubs in January ahead of a free transfer in summer 2022.

The recent renewals of Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez mean the club have more time to dedicate to Marcelo Brozovic’s contract discussions which look set to drag on for weeks.
