Inter’s Chilean duo Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal played a crucial role in Chile’s 1-0 win over Paraguay last night, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews today, Chile beat Paraguay 1-0 to give themselves renewed hope of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Sitting three points away from the qualification spots from the CONMEBOL group, Chile must win every game they play if they want to be sure of a place at the next World Cup.

The winning goal for Chile came in the 56th minute of the match in Paraguay and it came from an Alexis Sanchez corner. The ball found its way to Arturo Vidal who fired a shot at goal.

It deflected off the Paraguayan goalkeeper and was therefore marked as an own goal, but the Inter midfielder certainly took the plaudits on the pitch once the goal had gone in.
