Inter have not set a specific date for the next meeting with Marcelo Brozovic and his entourage to discuss a contract extension, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

As was reported by Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky Sport, via FCInternews, the Croatian midfielder is now away on international duty with his national team so no meeting is going to take place in the next week or so.

Inter have supposedly told the player that the most he can possibly earn from his new contract will be €6 million, which includes bonuses.

It is thought that the player and his entourage want more than this, and that is the basis for the disagreement.

The current deal runs out in June 2022 so it is becoming a matter of urgency for Inter who are desperate to keep the midfielder at the club as he is a key part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans.
