Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni made his 100th appearance in Serie A when he faced AC Milan last Sunday in the Derby della Madonnina, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by the club’s official television channel, Inter TV, via FCInter1908, the young centre back has managed to amass 100 Serie A appearances despite being just 22-years-old.

The defender’s young age whilst hitting this milestone is a testament to how quickly he matured once he was given a chance to perform in the top division in the country.

Alessandro Bastoni is a product of the Atalanta youth academy, which he graduated from in 2016 having joined in 2006.

He then made three Atalanta appearances before moving to Inter in 2017 for €31 million. He was loaned to Atalanta for two years on the same day as the move to Inter but was soon called back to be part of the Inter squad.

He also had a loan spell at Parma before becoming a permanent fixture at the back for Inter.
