Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana remains determined to join Inter next summer and is ready to turn down approaches from elsewhere to seal the move.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Cameroon international will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign and has little desire to remain at Ajax, paving the way for a departure.

Inter have identified him as a long-term replacement for captain Samir Handanovic and have been tracking him since this summer and Onana is ready to commit to Inter, with a view to signing a four-year contract in February.

This is despite interest from Premier League club Arsenal, and whilst the Gunners have not given up hope of convincing him, Inter are increasingly confident that Onana is set on a move to Serie A.

The newspaper also suggests that Onana will be brought in to initially compete alongside Handanovic next season, before taking over from the Slovenian in 2022-23.
