Inter are in pole position to sign Einracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic next summer as a replacement for Ivan Perisic.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Serb has given indications that he is ready to agree on a move next summer after a change of agent.

Kostic has been a target for the Nerazzurri in past transfer windows, but with Ivan Perisic likely to leave the club next summer they could make a decisive move for him.

The 29-year-old has recently switched agents to Alessandro Lucci, who has facilitated the transfers of a number of players to the Nerazzurri, including Matias Vecino, Joaquin Correa, Edin Dzeko, and Aleksandar Kolarov.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kostic’s countryman Kolarov has also played a role in convincing him to make the switch.

Kostic had reportedly been close to a move to Lazio during the summer transfer window, but the deal fell through and he remained with Eintracht for the season.

However, he is ready to seek a new challenge, and the groundwork appears to have been laid for a move to Inter in the summer.
