Inter have been given assurances that the minor fitness issue of striker Lautaro Martinez with the Argentine national team is not a cause for concern.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the extent of the 24-year-old’s injury has been confirmed to be nothing more than a minor bruise and that he will be available for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

Martinez was taken off at the half in the Albiceleste’s World Cup qualifying match against Brazil last night, causing some worry about the possibility that he had picked up an injury which could rule him out of matches with his club.

However, Inter’s medical staff have received positive news about his condition, and assurances that he will not have any lingering problems as the Nerazzurri head into massive fixtures against Napoli in Serie A and Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League immediately after the international break.
