For Federico Dimarco, it is a simple case of having outgrown his current contract in terms of his importance to the team. Inter want a new deal that will run until 2026.
For Samir Handanovic, Inter are preparing for the arrival of Andre Onana as the number one goalkeeper so the Slovenian’s contract must be adjusted to represent a new role as the backup goalkeeper.
Given his advanced age in relation to the sport, it is thought that Samir Handanovic is okay with how the situation is unfolding.
