Inter may try to sign a new striker in January after Alexis Sanchez picked up a new injury whilst playing for Chile, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Chilean’s new injury could see him out of action for over a month and Inter now feel that his fitness cannot be trusted.

There are a number of targets that could be explored in January rather than in the summer, as was likely the original plan.

Sassuolo duo Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca are still being heavily linked with a move to the Nerazzurri, whilst Pisa’s Lorenzo Lucca is another option of a young Italian striker.

There is also Torino’s Andrea Belotti who will be out of contract in June but could be available for a cheap fee in January.

Luka Jovic at Real Madrid is an option, as is Felipe Caicedo.
