Inter youngster Samuele Mulattieri has spoken about the joy it brought him to score for the Italy U21 team this week, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview on the official Crotone club channel, via FCInternews, Samuele Mulattieri and a teammate discussed their exploits with the national team and it is clear how much it meant to them.

“It was a beautiful day, I’m happy about the goal, we won, we played with ten different players compared to the last game, so we didn’t know each other, but we are happy to have brought it home.”

Samuele Mulattieri is on loan at Crotone this season from Inter and has been a star performer for the Rossoblu this season. He has scored six times in Serie B so far this season and also picked up a goal in the Coppa Italia.

He hopes that with his goal for the national team, he can now start scoring regularly there whilst also maintaining his goalscoring form at Crotone.

“I hope that now with this goal in the national team I have unlocked and now we have to continue scoring with Crotone.

“The great thing was that I scored a goal, he a hat-trick, we won and it was a great experience in the national team but now we have to get back focused for the away match in Perugia and for the other matches with Crotone.”

Despite the promising form of the Inter youngster, Crotone sit 17th in Serie B which is a relegation spot.
