Inter have been reassured by the Argentinian doctors that the injury sustained by Lautaro Martinez is nothing serious, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez suffered an injury during the 0-0 draw that Argentina played out with Brazil this week.

Given that Alexis Sanchez now looks destined for a month on the sidelines after getting injured whilst playing for Chile, Inter were extremely concerned by the Argentinin’s condition.

Doctors for the national team have reassured Inter, though, that the knock is very minor and they do not anticipate it having an impact on Inter’s match against Napoli.

Lautaro Martinez is expected back in Italy today and will undergo a light training session with the other South American players that are returning from World Cup qualifiers, which include Matias Vecino, Arturo Vidal, and Joaquin Correa who all represented their countries.
