There is renewed optimism that Marcelo Brozovic will sign a new contract with Inter this season following a positive meeting, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, a meeting took place yesterday between the club and the Croatian midfielder’s entourage which was much positive than any other meeting in recent weeks.

That is why there is renewed optimism from the player’s entourage that a deal can be done with the club that will see the contract that expires in June 2022 extended.

The player wants to remain with the Nerazzurri as he is settled both at the club and with his other business interests in the city.

The club are also desperate to keep him, they just do not want to pay the wages that the player has initially asked for. Negotiations will continue to find a middle ground between the two parties soon.
