Ex-Inter Forward Arturo Di Napoli: “Federico Dimarco Is Really Important For Simone Inzaghi”

Former Inter and Napoli player Arturo Di Napoli has explained how important Federico Dimarco is now to Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview for Il Napoli Online, Arturo Di Napoli explained that the Italian youngster is important for Simone Inzaghi because he is reliable when called into question.

“Federico Dimarco is really important for the coach. In some ways, he made Luiz Felipe’s path to Lazio, little advertised but often decisive when called into question.”

Arturo Di Napoli also discussed his admiration for Simone Inzaghi who he feels is doing an excellent job at Inter and will look to play on the counterattack in the match against Napoli on Sunday evening at San Siro.

“The Nerazzurri, having seven points to recover, will aim for three points Simone Inzaghi, who in my opinion is doing an excellent job. I think he will play a lot on the counterattack, to hit in those moments that Napoli can go into difficulty.”

Sunday evening will possibly see both Edin Dzeko and Victor Osimhen on the pitch together. Arturo Di Napoli feels that the playing style of each is relevant to their ages.

“Dzeko is the classic bomber who plays for the team, with the body he makes the team go up and manages to score in the ninety minutes.”

“Osimhen, on the other hand, has age on his side, he is quick, fast and he has improved a lot on a technical level. I think he has a lot of room for improvement and I am sure he will prove it as the months go by.”

A final word on the current Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti who of course was coach of Inter when Mauro Icardi decided he wanted to leave the club.

“He did an excellent job at Inter, in a difficult context, also considering the Mauro Icardi issue, but he made a point of asserting himself with the Nerazzurri club.

“In Naples, he is demonstrating the good things done in the past and the blue team well deserves the first place.”
