Inter have suffered significantly more injuries over the international break than Sunday’s opponents Napoli did, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Repubblica today, Napoli only suffered one muscle injury to a player who was away on international duty and that was Adam Ounas who is not an integral part of Luciano Spalletti’s side.

As for Inter, there will now be at least a two week period where key defender Stefan de Vrij will be on the sidelines, whilst Alexis Sanchez will also be out for a similar amount of time, perhaps even longer.

As well as this, there were minor muscle issues for Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez, and Alessandro Bastoni over the break.

These three players could still be passed fit to start against Napoli but it is extremely unlikely that they will be at their best possible fitness levels for the game.
