Inter transfer target Giacomo Raspadori has expressed how settled he is at Sassuolo right now despite regular links with a move to Inter, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Sky Sport whilst attending a high school in Modena, via FCInter1908, the young striker explained that there is an excellent relationship at Sassuolo right now and that he is focused on performing well for the Neroverdi.

“The coach is giving us a lot. We are growing, but it takes time as in any new project. There is an excellent relationship, which we are strengthening.

“We will have more continuity in the results. I grew up in Sassuolo, everything started from here and it’s a choice made with the heart. I’m happy to be here and I’m focused and ready to do things in the best way.”

Giacomo Raspadori also discussed the disappointment of Italy failing to automatically qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar following the recent draws with Switzerland and Northern Ireland.

“When you come from such an important victory, these moments are tough. We have done everything we could, there is regret.

“Now, between now and March, we need to rediscover the enthusiasm and the desire to do things together that will be decisive to reach the target.”

It is no secret that Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta is extremely keen on making the 21-year-old part of Inter’s squad in the future. There are rumours that Inter could even make a move in January after Alexis Sanchez picked up another injury.

His Sassuolo teammate Gianluca Scamacca is also of interest to Inter.
