Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has discussed the fact that Inter have failed to beat any of the biggest teams in the division this season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW, Mario Sconcerti explained that there is a limit to what Inter can expect to achieve if they are not going to win the head to head clashes against other title contenders.

“Despite being Italian champions, Inter is a team that has not yet beaten any of the other important teams in the league. And this is a limit.”

Mario Sconcerti also pointed out that recovering a gap of seven points to two different teams is a very difficult task but Inter may have what it takes this season.

“It’s a very important match for the standings, recovering seven points is not easy, especially not on two teams. There may be something unfinished in Inter.”

Inter have registered draws against Juventus and AC Milan this season in games where they arguably would have won if they had finished their chances better.

They have also drawn with Atalanta and lost 3-1 to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. The match against Napoli is a new opportunity to change this record.
