Edin Dzeko is battling against Joaquin Correa for a starting spot in attack when Inter welcome Napoli in Serie A tomorrow.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, coach Simone Inzaghi remains undecided on who will partner Lautaro Martinez against the league leaders at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Dzeko returned early from international duty with Bosnia last week after struggling with a muscular injury and was only able to participate in group training with Inter from Thursday. It remains to be seen if the clash against Napoli proves too soon for the former Roma striker, and it is thought that Correa currently leads the race.

Meanwhile, Stefan De Vrij’s injury whilst on Netherlands duty last weekend could see Andrea Ranocchia return to the starting line-up at centre-back.

Alternatively, Inzaghi will move Alessandro Bastoni into the centre and utilise wing-back Federico Dimarco on the left side of his three-man central defence.
