Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic has decided to leave the club when his contract expires next summer and the Nerazzurri will target Filip Kostic as his replacement.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Croatia international has informed Inter of his intentions to depart at the end of the season and will not sign a new deal with the Serie A champions.

This is set to prompt an overhaul of the left wing and directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have already decided on a key target for the transfer window next year in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kostic.

The Serbian only has 18 months remaining on his deal at the Bundesliga club and has expressed his desire to leave, giving Inter cause for optimism that they can strike a deal to sign him as Perisic’s replacement ahead of next season.

Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 and has scored 47 goals in 219 appearances, whilst he spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Bayern Munich.
