Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi has insisted that there are no issues with forward Giacomo Raspadori’s attitude after reported links with a move to Inter.

The 21-year-old has been on Inter’s radar for some time after breaking into Sassuolo’s first team and earning a call-up to Italy’s triumphant Euro 2020 squad this summer.

However, speaking in his pre-match press conference today ahead of Sassuolo’s Serie A match against Cagliari tomorrow, as reported by FCInterNews.it, Dionisi denied that Raspadori would leave in January and that there were any problems with the player.

“Nothing happened, there is a loyal and sincere relationship with everyone. The players may not be happy in some situations, this is normal, but a coach must accept. Giacomo is a leader, he is important for us,” Dionisi declared.

“His age must not be forgotten, we must give him time. We must start putting him in a position to score more but these things come. There has never been a problem with Giacomo.”

Raspadori has spent his entire senior career with Sassuolo and has scored nine goals in 53 appearances for the Neroverdi, including one Serie A goal this term.

The Bentivoglio-native has earned seven caps for Italy and netted his maiden international goal in a 5-0 win over Lithuania in September.
