Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has said that Inter played beautifully against Napoli in their 3-2 win on Sunday night, according to a report in the broadcast media tonight.

Speaking at his press conference after the match, as reported by FCInternews, Simone Inzaghi emphasised that his team were not just pragmatic, they were also beautiful at times in the game.

“More than a pragmatic Inter, I think it is a beautiful Inter. It is a team that has done very very well so far, we have had a few too many draws that are probably not deserved.

“With 28 points in another championship you are first or second at this point so congratulations must be given to Napoli and AC Milan but tonight I will give them to my boys because with difficulties, absences, ailments, they all wanted to be there and in my opinion we deserved this victory.”

Simone Inzaghi also said that he would have accepted the way Inter’s season gone so far if it had been offered to him at the beginning of the year. Now that he has worked with the players for a while though, he feels they should have achieved even more.

“I think twenty-eight points, after thirteen games, seven after four in the Champions League, I think at the beginning I probably would have put a signature on it.

“Then I saw the boys train in that way and with that commitment and I think we are missing a few points in the league and in the Champions League.”

The coach was seen hugging Andrea Ranocchia who came in for the injured Stefan de Vrij against Napoli and played well.

“I’m happy for Andrea because he played another excellent match again, he had already played it with Udinese against another difficult opponent but I had the embrace with everyone, with Kolarov, D’Ambrosio, Sensi.

“Right now we have great players who are playing better and deserve something more, unfortunately the coach has to make choices.”

The Inter boss also discussed the many players who have little injuries in his squad and are in need of a small break.

“My wish is to have them all available, we know about Sanchez and De Vrij, now Dzeko. It was an action that in my opinion had to be watched, he had a cut on his head.

“Correa came off with some pain, Barella with some problems, Bastoni with a shoulder not exactly in place. But we know that they are intense matches and tomorrow we will evaluate case by case.”
