Inter forward Joaquin Correa has emphasised the importance of capitalising on AC Milan’s defeat to Fiorentina on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Inter TV ahead of the match against Napoli today, via FCInternews, the Argentinian forward said that Inter must take advantage of the important points dropped by the Rossoneri.

“They have certainly lost three important points and we must take advantage of that. We play today against the other leaders and we must be aware of the importance of the match.”

Joaquin Correa has been chosen to start alongside Lautaro Martinez instead of Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko and he feels that the preparation of the team has been good ahead of the match.

“It’s a very difficult match but we prepared for it well. We had a good week of training, we all came back so we are ready for this challenge and we hope to get these three points.”

The ex-Lazio forward also had praise for the Inter fans who have supported the team this season. He explained how he wants to thank the fans for this and give them joy with a win today.

“To them only thanks. They are accompanying us in a great way, they give us strength and we will do everything today to give them joy.”

Inter can move within four points of both Napoli and AC Milan at the top of Serie A if they can get all three points against the Azzurri.
